Reviews:

Lately it’s hard to hear new groups from these lands and not wonder if they came from the most rural parts of America. This is evident from the very beginning (of Wood & Wire), its playful “High Time”, with its airs of Soul adorning the tune. Like when they feed off the spirit of New Orleans in the festive “Sweet Vermilion”, though they’re able to stay away from labels with the Country-Rock that gives shape to “Cold Wind”. The level of composition and solidity of the final result is surprising. They sound compact and unwavering, without falter, firm and steady, and totally sure of themselves.” – Jordi Del Rio (Ruta 66)

This band from Bilbao’s new record, Wood & Wire, in which they accommodate numerous styles from across the Atlantic, is destined to become one of the best national albums of the year. Dan Cabanela and his boys have done a remarkable job.” – Jorge Escobedo (Rocklive.es)

Wood & Wire has everything for lovers of American sounds. Put aside any geographic prejudice and simply listen, because what we have here is rock, in its broadest expression, that is remarkably performed and ready to stand toe to toe, and come out on top, against practically any record of the genre made today.” – Kepa Arbizu (Rockin Bilbo)

– Kepa Arbizu (Rockin Bilbo)

Reviews:

Still River, on the other hand, come out with a tasty demo recorded in Berango, but hey, it could have recorded in Macon. Listen! Pure dynamite with echoes of Little Feat, and
the Allman Brothers (tremendous “Just A Matter of Time”, “Pass Me the Key” and “Four Miles to Mobile”), with luscious guitars, solid vocals, and a fresh conception of the best
Southern rock  –
Mr. Demo (Route 66)

This band from Bilbao’s new record, Wood & Wire, Still River faithfully reproduces a stylish almanac of American Roots Rock … they get on like a house on fire within this sound. Elegant songs with totally classic forms, which create an atmosphere, an old flavor” – José Miguel Cáceres (Rock Estatal)

– Mr. Demo (Ruta 66)
